Frank Pain: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Mayor of Abilene Radio
Frank Pain has been melting faces and making waves on the Abilene airwaves longer than most guitars stay in tune. A true legend (in his own mind) with a voice smoother than a cold Shiner and a wit sharper than a Flying V, Frank’s been the loud, proud heart of Abilene radio for decades.
He’s the guy who brought dad jokes and devil horns together in glorious harmony, turning classic rock radio into a full-throttle lifestyle. From backstage interviews to beer-fueled bits and questionable karaoke challenges, Frank’s show has been part rock concert, part therapy session, and part “Did he really just say that on air?”
When he’s not spinning Zeppelin or poking fun at the weather, he’s out in the community — emceeing charity gigs, championing local music, or leading some crazy new promotion that involves inflatable guitars and possibly goats (true story… probably).
In short, Frank Pain isn’t just a DJ. He’s a living, breathing power chord — blasting out of Abilene’s speakers, wrapped in Harley-Davidson clothing and driven by pure rock ‘n’ roll. Long live The Painman!
